Dock Attendants

With this being a traditional-style Dragon Boat Festival, it does make sense that the majority of our activities would be happening on the water. Dock Area Volunteers will be responsible for assisting and motivating our paddlers as they compete, ensuring that all racers begin on time and have fun!

Tasks:

Guide dragon boats slowly to the docks

Hold the boats to load/unload participants before and after race times

Ensure participants are clearing the dock allowing the next team to load

Basecamp:

All Dock Attendant Volunteer operations will be overseen at the docks!

After volunteers have signed in at Volunteer Village they will be directed to the Team Staging Tent, located behind the food vendors. Once there they will be greeted by an Area Leader and shown their responsibilities. Dock volunteers will be assigned a dock to maintain with another volunteer. Security will patrol the dock area with their team. Press boat volunteers will follow their leader on to a boat which will proceed out to the water.
