Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival Announces Family Fun For 2017!

Wednesday, April 12, 2017

The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival announced an amazing line-up of exciting family entertainment as part of their twenty-forth annual festival.

North America’s largest Dragon Boat Festival will take over the beach at Mooney’s Bay Park on the Rideau River, June 22-25, 2017. Organizers are very excited about the excellent children’s entertainment line-up, with fresh new talent making a splash.

The Children’s Area will be packed with a wide variety of fun. With magic, science, superheros and more, attendees won’t run out of things to do anytime soon. Whether you’re exploring a fire truck next to the world's largest playground or marching along side the 501st Legion Capital City Garrison, many of these entertainers make you part of the action. Other performers include the Rebel Legion Kanata Temple/Aurora Base, Champ from the Ottawa Champions, RedBlacks Cheerleaders, Big Joe from the RedBlacks and Ravens Rhythm. “Our goal is to make the Dragon Boat Festival a place where the whole family can have a great time for the entire weekend,” said Antony Cooper, the festival’s Artistic Director.

“None of this would be possible without help from our generous sponsors, various granting bodies and community organizations. We hope everyone can come to join us on the beach for a great weekend,” said John Brooman, Festival CEO.
